All Delaware residents are eligible for a free library card. Complete a registration form and present it with a photo ID at your local Delaware public library* or sign up online for access right away to emedia.
*If you don’t have a Delaware photo ID, please contact your local library for card registration requirements. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign for the card. Please contact your local public library for registration, policies and/or fee information.

The educator card allows its holders to supplement their curriculum with expanded access to public library resources for children and teens. For public and private K-12 school librarians, teachers, and homeschoolers who work in Delaware, including those whose residence is out-of-state.
*New Castle County Only: Make an appointment with the Educator Card Program liaison at your NCC library to review guidelines, turn in required paperwork, and obtain a card.
Delaware non-residents may apply for a non-resident card. Simply submit the registration form and a fee to a Delaware public library.
