Kid Cards FAQ’s

A new library card targeting babies, toddlers, and preschoolers (birth – 5). Delaware’s First Lady, Tracey Quillen Carney, announced the card at the summer library challenge launch events in June 2018.
A new library card targeting school-aged children (6-12). The Super Library Card launched at the Dover ComicCon in August 2018.
Any child in the target ages.
The card is free for any child living in Delaware. Out-of-state children may also be issued a My First Card or Kids Super Card, but regular library out-of-state fees apply.
Both cards can be used to check out only Juvenile/children’s materials. There is a limit of 12 items and there will be no overdue fines. Libraries may still assess lost or damaged fees.
Every time your child goes to the library, their card will be stamped. After 10 visits (10 stamps) they will receive a prize. For the My First Card they will receive a growth chart.
For the Kids Super Card, they will receive a zipper pull. There are 5 designs so you can use 5 tracker cards and collect all 5 super hero zipper pulls (50 visits total).
