Delaware Residents


All Delaware residents are eligible for a free library card. Complete a registration form and present it with a photo ID at your local Delaware public library*.

*If you don’t have a Delaware photo ID, please contact your local library for card registration requirements. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign for the card.

Delaware Educator Library Card

The educator card allows its holders to supplement their curriculum with expanded access to public library resources for children and teens. For public and private K-12 school librarians, teachers, and homeschoolers who work in Delaware, including those whose residence is out-of-state.

Delaware Non-Residents

Delaware non-residents may apply for a non-resident card. Simply submit the registration form and a fee to a Delaware public library.

Non-Resident Property Owners

If you own property in Delaware, but live in another state, you are still eligible to receive a Delaware library card. Please contact your local public library for registration and/or fee information.
