Friends of Delaware Libraries
Friends helping friends make libraries better.
Today, more than ever, local libraries provide support for educational and community needs. The Friends of Delaware Libraries support libraries in this mission. Learn more by visiting our site at friends.lib.de.us
Our efforts include:
- Outreach to promote the resources and services of Delaware libraries. The Delaware Book Festival is one of our efforts.
- Advocacy by working with State and local representatives on issues of concern to libraries and to improve library funding. We participate in the American Library Association National Legislative Day, Joint Finance Committee Hearings and more.
- Networking to bring people together to exchange ideas and resources. We are sponsors of Library Town Meetings and other events.
The Friends of Delaware Libraries needs support in both monetary contributions and in personal involvement. As a member, you’ll enjoy benefits that keep you in touch with library activities throughout the state.
